Two students meet on the banks of the Rio Tormes, an eleven-year-old boy named Tomás, who wanted to meet in Salamanca, a master who, in exchange for his work, would give him study. Tomas returns to Salamanca after graduating as a lawyer. A Moorish woman casts a spell on him, believing himself to be made of glass, becoming Mr. Vidriera. A monk succeeds in curing him, when he is not heard, he decides to become a soldier, dying as such.
